Benoît Ntambue Badiashile Mukinayi Baya (born 26 March 2001) is a French professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for both Premier League club Chelsea and the France national team. Early lifeBenoît Ntambue Badiashile Mukinayi Baya[2] was born on 26 March 2001 in Limoges, Haute-Vienne[3] and is of Congolese descent.[4] Club careerMonacoOn 5 February 2018, Badiashile signed his first professional contract with Monaco.[5] He made his professional debut on 11 November, in a 4–0 Ligue 1 loss to Paris Saint-Germain.[6] ChelseaOn 5 January 2023, Badiashile signed with Premier League club Chelsea on a seven-and-a-half-year contract[7] for a transfer fee reported by The Guardian to be £32.7 million (€37 million).[8] On 15 January 2023, Badiashile made his debut for Chelsea, starting against Crystal Palace in the Premier League.
