Ben Petrie

Ben Petrie is a Canadian actor and filmmaker.[1] He is most noted as the director of the short film Her Friend Adam,[2] which was named to the Toronto International Film Festival's annual year-end Canada's Top Ten list for 2016.[3]

He also previously directed the short films Sanctuary (2012), Bananas (2012), Nice Is Cool (2013), Bananas (2014) and Man in Condo (2015). His feature debut, The Heirloom, premiered in 2024 at the 53rd International Film Festival Rotterdam.[4]

As an actor he has appeared in the short films Local Commercial, Her Friend Adam, You Say Yes and August 22, This Year, and the feature films Tito and BlackBerry. In 2025 his film Honey Bunch directed by Madeleine Sims-Fewer and Dusty Mancinelli will have its world premiere at the 75th Berlin International Film Festival in Berlinale Special.[5]

He has been in a relationship with his frequent collaborator Grace Glowicki.[6]
