Baccinello
Baccinello is a village in Tuscany, central Italy, administratively a frazione of the comune of Scansano, province of Grosseto. At the time of the 2001 census its population amounted to 284.[1] Baccinello is about 24 km from Grosseto and 21 km from Scansano, and it is situated in a plain in the Trasubbie valley. The village became famous because, in 1958, a complete fossilized skeleton of Oreopithecus bambolii was found in one of the lignite mines. Main sights
