Arrondissement of Reims
The Arrondissement of Reims (French: arrondissement de Reims) is an arrondissement of France in the Marne department, Grand Est. HistoryThe arrondissement of Reims was created in 1800.[4] In 2006 it lost the canton of Ay to the arrondissement of Épernay.[4] At the April 2017 reorganisation of the arrondissements of Marne, it gained two communes from the arrondissement of Châlons-en-Champagne, and it lost one commune to the arrondissement of Châlons-en-Champagne and 13 communes to the arrondissement of Épernay.[5] As a result of the reorganisation of the cantons of France which came into effect in 2015, the borders of the cantons are no longer related to the borders of the arrondissements.
