Arnór Borg Guðjohnsen
Arnór Borg Guðjohnsen (born 16 September 2000) is an Icelandic footballer who plays as a midfielder for FH.[2] Club careerArnór signed for Welsh club Swansea City from Breiðablik in July 2017.[3][4][5] He became a regular player for their under-18 Academy side.[6] He suffered a series of injuries in April 2019, and was out of action for 7 months before returning to play in December 2019.[7] In May 2020 he returned to Iceland to train,[8] and signed for Fylkir in June 2020,[9][10] after being released by Swansea.[11] In September 2021 it was announced that he would transfer to Víkingur Reykjavík for the 2022 season.[12][13] In 2023, he signed to Icelandic side FH on loan, though he only recorded 5 appearances for the team. In 2024, FH signed Arnór fully, and he had since recorded 24 appearances and 2 goals for the club. International careerIn September 2018 he was called up by the Icelandic under-19 team.[1][6] Playing styleHe has described Gylfi Sigurðsson, a fellow Icelandic player who also played for Swansea City, as his idol.[14] Like Sigurðsson, he plays behind the strikers as an advanced midfielder.[6] Personal lifeHis father Arnór and half-brother Eiður were both footballers,[3][14][15] as are Eiður's sons Sveinn Aron,[16] Andri and Daníel.[17][18][19] Career statistics
