Armigeres magnus
Armigeres (Leicesteria) magnus is a species of mosquito belonging to the subfamily Culicinae.[1] It is widely distributed in South, Southeast, and East Asia:[2] it is found in Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Macau, India, Malaysia, Nepal, Philippines, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam, Taiwan, Indochina, China, and Sumatra.[3] It can readily bite humans[4] but others suggest that it is primarily zoophilic.[2] It breeds in Nepenthes species,[4] tree holes, and bamboo joints.[5] References
