Allactite is a rare arsenate mineral of metamorphosedmanganesezinc ore deposits. It is found in Sweden and New Jersey, US. Its name originated from Greek αλλάκτειν (allaktein) meaning "to change", referring to the strong pleochroism of the mineral.[3]
