Alfred Anthony Anderson (born August 4, 1961) is an American former professional football player who was a running back for eight seasons in the National Football League (NFL).
Anderson was born and raised in Waco, Texas and played scholastically at Richfield High School .[ 2] He played college football for the Baylor Bears ,[ 3] where, as a senior, he was honored by Football News as a second-team All-American .[ 4]
Anderson was selected in the third round of the 1984 NFL draft by the Minnesota Vikings ,[ 5] and spent his entire career with them.[ 6]
