Ajyal TV
Ajyal TV/TV5 Saudi Ajyal (lit. "generations") was a free-to-air children's television channel owned by the Saudi Broadcasting Authority. It was launched on Eid al-Fitr in 2009. The channel offered a variety of educational and entertaining programs for children of all ages, including cartoons, live-action shows (which are usually in-house productions), in addition to national holidays of Saudi Arabia[1] and religious programs (usually in the month of Ramadan). HistoryAs of January 2024, not much is known about the channel's beginning. The test broadcast beginning was around very late June to very early July.[2] What is known, however, is that the channel launched on Eid al-Fitr of 2009. In 2014, the channel rebranded with a brand new look. The channel closed in 2018 because the president of the Saudi Broadcasting Authority wanted to merge Ajyal TV with Saudi 1.
