Adéla Jergová (born November 27, 2003), known mononymously as Adéla (stylized in all caps), is a Slovak singer and songwriter. She began her solo music career in 2024 with the release of her first two singles, "Homewrecked" and "Superscar".[2]
Adéla participated in Hybe and Geffen Records' 2023 survival show, Dream Academy, a competition to form a global girl group. She did not advance further in the show's competition, where it concluded with the formation of Katseye.
In 2022, Adéla moved to Los Angeles to compete on the 2023 Hybe Corporation and Geffen Records reality competition series Dream Academy against 19 other girls.[6] During the first challenge, she performed a group dance to the Blackpink song "Pink Venom" and was part of the first pair of contestants to be eliminated, having received the lowest amount of fan votes.[7][8] The winners of the series went on to form the girl groupKatseye. Adéla also appeared in Netflix's behind-the-scenesdocuseries covering the events of Dream Academy, titled Pop Star Academy: Katseye, which premiered in 2024.[2] That year, she made her debut as a solo artist in September with the release of her single "Homewrecked", which Out named one of the best singles of the week of its release.[9][10] Adéla's second single "Superscar" was released in October 2024.[5] As of 2024[update], she is attending college in Los Angeles for music.[2]
