Abdul Aziz Shamsuddin
Abdul Aziz bin Shamsuddin (Jawi: عبدالعزيز بن شمس الدين; 10 June 1938 – 16 October 2020) was a Malaysian politician who served as Minister of Rural and Regional Development from 2004 to 2008. CareerIn 1975, he was appointed as a special officer to the then Minister of Education, Mahathir Mohamad. Subsequently, he served as Mahathir's private secretary during his tenure as Prime Minister from 1981 to 1999. In 1999, Abdul Aziz entered the sixth Mahathir cabinet and was appointed as the Deputy Minister of Education. He served as Minister of Rural and Regional Development from 27 March 2004 to 18 March 2008.[1] DeathAbdul Aziz Shamsuddin died on 16 October 2020 at 11.52 pm. He was 82 years old.[2][3] He was to laid to rest at the Gunung Mesah Muslim Cemetery, Gopeng, Perak.[4] Election results
