75th Venice International Film Festival Film festival
The 75th Venice International Film Festival was held from 29 August to 8 September 2018.
Mexican film director Guillermo del Toro was the Jury President of the main competition.[ 1] [ 2] First Man , directed by Damien Chazelle , was the festival's opening film.[ 3] Michele Riondino was the host of the festival.[ 4]
The festival poster was made by Italian artist Lorenzo Mattotti , who designed it in the way "that attracts the eye, that attracts thought, but without revealing too much."[ 5]
The Golden Lion was awarded to Roma , directed by Alfonso Cuarón .[ 6]
