16 January–7 February — 2020 African Nations Championship, hosted by Cameroon – originally scheduled in 2020 but postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.[2][3]
June 12 – Four films made in Cameroon are now available for streaming on Netflix in the United States. The Fisherman's Diary has won numerous awards and was pre-selected for the 2021 Academy Awards.[7]
