2021 CAFA U-17 Women's Championship
The CAFA U-17 Women's Championship was the inaugural edition of the CAFA U-17 Women's Championship, the biennial international youth football championship organised by CAFA for the women's under-17 national teams of Central Asia. Tajikistan hosted the tournament from 3 to 7 July.[1][2] A total of four teams played in the tournament, with players born on or after 1 January 2004 eligible to participate. Uzbekistan won the title unbeaten to become the inaugural champions of the competition.[3][4] Host Tajikistan finished third after a defeat to Iran on the final matchday.[5][6] Participating teamsInitially, A total of 5 (out of 6) CAFA member national teams entered the tournament.[7][8] However, despite earlier confirmation of participation, the Kyrgyz Republic withdrew before the start of the tournament, citing unforeseen circumstances.[9]

Main tournamentThe original schedule when Kyrgyzstan was participating was published on 28 June 2021.[9] The revised tournament schedule after Kyrgyzstan withdrew was announced on 2 July 2021.[10]
