1982 NCAA Division II women's volleyball tournament
The 1982 NCAA Division II women's volleyball tournament was the second annual NCAA-sponsored tournament to determine the national champions of Division II women's collegiate volleyball in the United States.[1] UC Riverside defeated Cal State Northridge in straight sets, 3–0 (15–11, 15–12, 15–5), in the final to claim the Highlanders' first NCAA Division II national title. UC Riverside were coached by Sue Gozansky. QualifyingThe tournament field expanded for the first time, increasing from ten to sixteen teams. Ten teams made their debut in the NCAA Division II tournament: Angelo State, Chapman, C.W. Post, Edinboro State, Ferris State, Florida International, Nebraska–Omaha, North Dakota State, Northern Colorado, and Portland State. Bracket
