American college football season
The 1926 Muskingum Fighting Muskies football team was an American football team that represented Muskingum University of New Concord, Ohio, as a member of the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) during the 1926 college football season. In their fourth season under head coach Bill Lange, the Fighting Muskies compiled a perfect 9–0 record (7–0 against OAC opponents), won the OAC championship, and outscored opponents by a total of 178 to 68.[1][2]
The 1926 season was the first perfect season in Muskingum football history. Additional perfect seasons followed in 1931, 1955, and 1960.[3]
