Yoshihiro Kawaoka (河岡 義裕code: ja is deprecated , Kawaoka Yoshihiro, lahir 14 November 1955) adalah seorang virologis yang mengkhususkan diri dalam kajian virus-virus influenza dan Ebola. Ia menyandang gelar profesor dalam bidang virologi di Jurusan Ilmu Patobiologi di Universitas Wisconsin-Madison, Amerika Serikat, dan di Universitas Tokyo, Jepang.

Setelah epidemi virus Ebola Afrika Barat pada 2014, Kawaoka mulai mengembangkan vaksin Ebola dimana ia bekerjasama dengan Dr. Alhaji N'jai, seorang toksikologis di Universitas Wisconsin–Madison dan organisasi nirlabanya Project 1808, Inc.^[1]
