Wanita di India
Status wanita di India telah menjadi subyek pada beberapa perubahan besar sepanjang beberapa milenium lampau.[4] Dengan penurunan status mereka dari zaman kuno sampai abad pertengahan,[5][6] sampai promosi hak kesetaraan oleh beberapa reformer, sejarah mereka penuh warna. Di India modern, wanita memiliki jabatan tinggi yang meliputi Presiden, Perdana Menteri, Jurubicara Lok Sabha, Pemimpin Oposisi, Menteri Uni, Ketua Menteri dan Gubernur.
