Taulanti

Taulanti atau Taulantia[1] (bahasa Yunani: Ταυλάντιοι) adalah nama sekumpulan suku-suku Iliria.[2]

Menurut mitologi Yunani, salah satu dari enam anak laki-laki Ilirius yang bernama Taulas (Tαύλας) merupakan nenek moyang suku Taulanti.[3] Suku-suku ini tinggal di wilayah pesisir Iliria (kini Albania), di dekat[4] kota Epidamnos (kini Durrës). Suku ini berperan penting dalam sejarah Iliria pada abad ke-4 hingga ke-3 SM, ketika Glaukias (335 SM - 302 SM) memimpin suku ini sebagai raja.

Nama Taulanti tampaknya terkait dengan kata dalam bahasa Albania, tallandushe, dallëndyshe, yang berarti "menelan" dalam bahasa Indonesia.[5]
