Qaum

Qaum (bahasa Arab: قوم) adalah kata bahasa Arab untuk bangsa. Kata ini merujuk pada komunitas manusia yang berbagi bahasa, budaya, etnisitas, garis keturunan, dan/atau sejarah yang sama. Dalam definisi ini, sebuah bangsa tidak memiliki batas fisik. Meskipun, kata ini juga bisa merujuk pada orang-orang yang berbagi wilayah dan pemerintahan yang sama (misalnya penduduk dari sebuah negara berdaulat) tanpa memandang komposisi etnisnya.[1][2]
