Nostalgia adalah sebuah sentimentalitas untuk masa lalu, biasanya untuk sebuah periode atau tempat dengan asosiasi personal yang bahagia.[1] Kata nostalgia berasal dari kata bahasa Yunaniνόστος (nóstos), yang artinya "kepulangan", sebuah kata Homerik, dan ἄλγος (álgos), yang artinya "luka" atau "sakit". Disebut sebagai kondisi medis—sebuah bentuk melankoli—pada zaman Modern Awal, ini menjadi sebuah pasukan berpengaruh dalam Romantisisme.[1]
