Mayanisme
Mayanisme adalah istilah yang digunakan untuk kepercayaan-kepercayaan Zaman Baru, dipengaruhi oleh mitologi Maya pra-Colombus. Istilah ini tidak sama dengan orang yang mempelajari peradaban maya.
Mayanisme sudah ada pada buku abad ke-16, Utopia karya Sir Thomas More, yang mengembangkan konsep utopia pada Dunia Baru.
Salah satu hal yang dipercaya Mayanisme adalah bahwa pada tanggal 21 Desember 2012, tanggal berakhirnya baktun pada perhitungan panjang kalender maya, akan terjadi perubahan besar yang melahirkan dunia baru.
