Leo Strauss (/straʊs/;[1]Jerman:[ˈleːoˈʃtʁaʊs];[2][3] 20 September 1899 – 18 Oktober 1973) adalah seorang filsuf politik dan klasikis Jerman Amerika yang mengkhususkan diri dalam filsafat politik klasik. Lahir di Jerman dari orangtua Yahudi, Strauss kemudian berimigrasi dari Jerman ke Amerika Serikat. Ia menjalani sebagian besar masa kariernya sebagai profesor ilmu politik di Universitas Chicago, dimana ia mengajari beberapa generasi murid daan menerbitkan lima belas buku.[4]
