Henry Watson Fowler
Henry Watson Fowler (10 Maret 1858 – 26 Desember 1933) adalah seorang kepala sekolah, leksikografer Inggris dan komentator tentang pemakaian bahasa Inggris. Ia terkenal karena karya-karyanya seperti A Dictionary of Modern English Usage dan Concise Oxford Dictionary, dan dijuluki sebagai "seorang jenius leksikografi" oleh The Times.
Setelah mengenyam pendidikan di Oxford, Fowler menjadi kepala sekolah hingga pertengahan usianya dan bekerja di London sebagai penulis dan jurnalis lepas, tetapi kurang sukses. Bersama adiknya, Francis, pada 1906, ia mulai menerbitkan buku-buku tata bahasa, gaya bahasa dan leksikografi. Setelah kematian adiknya tahun 1918, ia menyelesaikan karya-karya yang belum mereka selesaikan dan menyunting beberapa karya tambahan.
