Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan karakter disiplin dan toleransi serta ketuntasan belajar siswa melalui model pembelajaran diskusi kelas strategi beach ball berbasis pendidikan karakter pada materi ikatan kimia kelas X SMA.Sasaran penelitian adalah siswa kelas X IPA-3 sebanyak 30 siswa.Penelitian berlangsung selama empat kali pertemuan.Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa : (1) Proses belajar mengajar dengan model pembelajaran diskusi kelas strategi beach ball telah berlangsung efektif dengan hasil skor rata-rata pengelolaan pembelajaran dari pertemuan 1 sampai 4 yaitu 2,63 (baik); 2,89 (baik); 3,22 (sangat baik); 3,41 (sangat baik).(2) Karakter disiplin dan toleransi siswa dalam pembelajaran diskusi kelas strategi beach ball berbasis pendidikan karakter pada materi ikatan kimia selama empat pertemuan tergolong baik dan mengalami peningkatan dari pertemuan pertama sampai pertemuan keempat dengan perolehan persentase untuk karakter disiplin berturut-turut yaitu 71,9%; 76,9%; 87,3%; 89,4% dan untuk karakter toleransi yaitu 75,3%; 77,0%; 84,7%; 90,3%. (3) Pembelajaran dengan model diskusi kelas strategi beach ball dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir siswa, ini terlihat pada hasil posttest siswa yang mencapai ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 87%. This study aimed to describe the character of discipline and tolerance as well as student learning outcomes through Classroom Discussion learning model with Beach Ball strategy based on character education on subject matter of chemical bonding in X class SMA. Targets were 30 students of X IPA-3 class. The study lasted for four sessions. Data analysis methods used are descriptive statistics. The results showed that: (1) The process of teaching and learning with Classroom Discussion learning model with Beach Ball strategy has been effective. The average score of learning management meetings 1 to 4 was 2.63 (good), 2.89 (good); 3.22 (excellent); 3.41 (excellent). (2) The character of discipline and tolerance of students in learning model of classroom discussion with beach ball strategy quite well and and has increased from the first meeting until the fourth meeting.The percentage of disciplinecharacter in a row were 71.9%, 76.9%, 87.3%, 89.4% whereas the character of tolerance were 75.3%, 77.0%, 84.7%, 90.3%.(3) Learning model of classroom discussion with beach ball strategy could improve students' thinking skills that could be seen in classical masteryat the rate of  87%.
