Thank you for the barnstar. Axl ¤ [Talk] 11:01, 7 October 2008 (UTC) You got a thank you card!
re: RfA CommentsHello! To answer your observation: my RfA comments only came about because I normally arrived at those discussions at the midway point and felt I was contributing nothing of value by repeating the same “Support – great candidate” comments that 25 or 30 other editors said. The “wrong queue” comments came about just to be different, not to be funny. There is no “joke,” per se – it is just a small revolt against conformity. Of course, I only do that when I support a candidate – I never do that with oppose or neutral input, because I need to be serious in explaining why I cannot get behind a candidacy. Ecoleetage (talk) 18:18, 7 October 2008 (UTC) Ecoleetage (talk) has smiled at you! Smiles promote WikiLove and hopefully this one has made your day better. Spread the WikiLove by smiling at someone else, whether it be someone you have had disagreements with in the past or a good friend. Cheers, and Happy editing! RE: AdminshipThanks for the offer, Axl :) I'm going to leave it a fair while until I've started (don't know how long away that is) and finished my admin coaching with Malinaccier (talk · contribs). You'd be welcome to co-nom me if you so feel the need when the time comes :) Thanks again, hope everything's okay. —Cyclonenim (talk · contribs · email) 20:32, 7 October 2008 (UTC) RFA ThanksAxl, I'd like to thank you for voting in my RFA. Thanks also for expressing your trust in me, and I hope that I live up to your expectations. Don't forget, if you have any questions (or bits of advice), please leave a message on my talk page. Thanks again, SpencerT♦C 02:49, 8 October 2008 (UTC) Oxygen toxicity revisitedGene Hobbs and I have almost finished the re-write of Oxygen toxicity (many thanks for the barnstar, by the way!). As I still would like to get at least one scuba-related article to GA status, one of us will renominate it as GAC soon. I don't know whether you will be able to review it this time, but if you can't, could I ask you to have a pre-nomination look and spare a few minutes to let us know if the points you raised at Talk:Oxygen toxicity/GA2 need any further work. I do know I have to research the history of BPD and that there are still a number of short paragraphs. I think that's due to the fact that the article summarises CNS tox, pulmonary tox, BPD, ARDS and ROP and covers clinical and diving viewpoints. If I knew what I was tackling at the start, I think I'd have picked an easier topic! Anyway, don't worry if you're busy, but any observations & criticism are welcome. Cheers --RexxS (talk) 23:02, 8 October 2008 (UTC) RfA thanks

Categorisation of dermatology articles on Wikipedia, input wantedHey Axl. Kilbad (talk · contribs) has asked me to ask around a few people to get their opinions on the current catagorisation tree proposed at this discussion, as he seems rather eager to get going with the work but would like a few more opinions. Any chance you could have a quick look and post your thoughts? Cheers. —Cyclonenim (talk · contribs · email) 15:22, 22 October 2008 (UTC) RfAI saw your explanation above for not wanting to go through RfA--I understand it, but if you ever change your mind I'd be happy to nominate you. delldot ∇. 03:14, 26 October 2008 (UTC)
I was just about to make the same suggestion. But then great minds like Delldot's and mine tend to think alike. JFW | T@lk 13:42, 26 October 2008 (UTC) RfA thanksRfA thanksWikimedia UK v2.0Hello! Thanks for showing an interest in Wikimedia UK v2.0. Formation of the company is currently underway under the official name "Wiki UK Limited", and we are hoping to start accepting membership in the near future. We have been drawing up a set of membership guidelines, determining what membership levels we'll have (we plan on starting off with just standard Membership, formerly known as Guarantor Membership, with supporting membership / friends scheme coming later), who can apply for membership (everyone), what information we'll collect on the application form, why applications may be rejected, and data retention. Your input on all of this would be appreciated. We're especially after the community's thoughts on what the membership fee should be. Please leave a message on the talk page with your thoughts. Also, we're currently setting up a monthly newsletter to keep everyone informed about the to-be-Chapter's progress. If you would like to receive this newsletter, please put your username down on this page. Thanks again. Mike Peel (talk) 19:51, 8 November 2008 (UTC) (Membership Secretary, Wikimedia UK [Proposed]) Meningitis is at GANHey. Jfdwolff put up meningitis for GAN review the other day and we're quite eager to get it sorted. I think I've seen you do reviews in the past and they seemed pretty thorough. I was wondering if you had any spare time you could use for reviewing this article? No worries if you're too busy, there's no particular rush. Thanks. —Cyclonenim (talk · contribs · email) 23:13, 9 November 2008 (UTC)

Hopefully in a few months, I'll have passed the point where you would've !voted Support. If you have any more suggestions on how I can improve myself as an editor, I'd be happy to hear them. Happy editing!--Aervanath lives in the Orphanage 21:18, 15 November 2008 (UTC) Us too... thanks for the feedbackOsteochondritis dissecans. Thanks for the review. I told my students that taking on medical topics would be extremely challenging. First, reviewers are hard to find on such technical topics. Second, the standards are much greater. None-the-less I am not unpleased with FoddPuma's efforts. Even with the grade already in the book; I'm certain he will attempt to recitify your concerns. What are your thoughts on an FA attempt. With a topic of this nature; is such an attempt reasonable? --JimmyButler (talk) 01:30, 16 November 2008 (UTC)
Wiki UK Ltd Membership applications now invited!Hello, It gives me great pleasure to announce that Wiki UK Limited is now inviting membership applications! You can download the application form in PDF format from meta:Image:Wiki_UK_Ltd_membership_application_form.pdf Information is given on the form about membership fees (£12/year standard, £6 for concessions); these need to be paid by cheque initially, although we hope to accept other forms of payment in the future. Applications should be submitted to me at the address given on the form. If you have any queries about the application process, please let me know. We will formally start accepting members once we have a bank account, as we cannot process membership fees until that time. We will be submitting our application for a bank account in the very near future, and we hope to have this set up by the end of December at the latest. Thank you for your support so far; I look forward to receiving your membership application. Somniferous GACHullo Axl, I was wondering if I could get your opinion on obesity hypoventilation syndrome. I wrote this in two stretches, and it's currently on GAC. Given that I slept through much of the respiratory physiology lectures at medical school (no, I'm not obese, just nocturnal) I was wondering if you could verify its factuality. If you could include a GA review as well, that would be great too. JFW | T@lk 22:28, 29 November 2008 (UTC)
