User talk:Axl/archive 3Perfect DarkI think your grammatical edit here must be mistaken. I assume you misread the sentence. Let me know if you don't agree. Soo 13:46, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
one atobarnThanks for the barnstar. I have not been very active at Wikipedia since Wikiversity started...I wonder how you noticed me. I have mixed feelings about placing barnstars on my user page, but I made a "trophy case". --JWSchmidt 15:22, 6 May 2007 (UTC) BarnstarThank you for your kind present! It helps to feel better. Please feel free to post any questions or critical comments on my talk page. Good luck and happy editing! Biophys 22:21, 13 May 2007 (UTC) . ThanksI'm such a hothead when it comes to articles I've edited, I'm almost sure you've got the wrong person. But if not, thanks for the Resilient! ALTON .ıl 02:44, 16 May 2007 (UTC) RE: BarnstarGreetings, and thank you -- I have been away, hence my inability to acknowledge you earlier. I actually haven't edited excessively, but hope to contribute more in the time ahead. Thanks again! Quizimodo 00:22, 21 May 2007 (UTC) Thanks for all your work on the lung cancer article - it's thoroughly researched, referenced, and generally all-round wonderful. I'd got to a stage where all I was doing with the thing was reverting vandalism and posting doubting comments on it - I shall have to try and get back to actually improving articles rather than just firefighting...! Since A-Class is actually "a step above" GA in the assessment scale, AFAIK it is usually reserved for articles that have already gone through the GA process and have been listed as such; meanwhile I've bumped it down to B-class again. If you disagree, please feel free to leave me a note. P.S. In my humble opinion the article is pretty much at Good Article standard; I left some drive-by suggestions at the Talk page. If you'd like to nominate it… :) Good work and best wishes, Fvasconcellos (t·c) 14:03, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
License tagging for Image:Dawn (Exalted).jpgThanks for uploading Image:Dawn (Exalted).jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images. For more information on using images, see the following pages: This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 12:05, 10 June 2007 (UTC) "Ninjas" (again)Well, he kept trying until he eventually won. And now, he wants to make "Ninjas" and "Historical Ninjas" as well: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Categories_for_discussion/Log/2007_June_7#Several_ninja_categories This is just stupid, but the mods were on his side: [1][2] and now he wants to change the rest. --HanzoHattori 17:57, 10 June 2007 (UTC) My RfA :)
Thank you, Axl, for being the earliest supporter of my RfA :) Best wishes, Fvasconcellos (t·c) 18:33, 10 June 2007 (UTC) ThanksThanks very much. By the way, the lung cancer screening article was one of the best referenced and up-to-date pages that I have encountered among the medical pages of WP.Badgettrg 03:50, 16 June 2007 (UTC) Evolution.oggIt is working for me now. I've tried to address your issues and I've left you responses at the talk page of that article. Thanks again for your help, and let me know your thoughts. Chupper 12:29, 16 July 2007 (UTC) Lung Cancer FA?I'm really sorry for the late answer, I've been doing my practice at the dep. of pediatrics and it killed my time. IMHO, the article is totally ready for a FAC. Let me know when you nominate it and I'm going to help you! Great job! NCurse work 18:47, 30 July 2007 (UTC) Hand HygieneI strongly disagree with your editing of the hand hygiene article and your assertion that the article on hand hygiene be redirected to hand washing. It should be the other way around. Hand washing should be rediredted to hand hygiene. Washing your hands is one way to obtain hand hygiene. Hand hygiene includes hand washing and the use of other procedures to obtain good hand hygiene. I am reinstating the orginal revised article and would appreciate it if you did no further editing to the article until it is discussed on the hand hygiene talk page. Thank you very much for your cooperation--JSHibbard 19:32, 5 August 2007 (UTC)
The barnstarThanks! Xihr 20:24, 6 August 2007 (UTC) Much obliged! That's the best barnstar we could possibly hope to receive. Thanks! :-) Sidatio 19:30, 7 August 2007 (UTC) First barnstar!I am honored by the award. My first! But the transcription factor article for which the Barnstar was awarded is still definitely a work in progress. Much work remains. Boghog2 20:52, 7 August 2007 (UTC) BarnstarsHi Axl, and thanks for the message. I'm a little confused as "giving out barnstars" is something I rarely do - I think I've done it about four times in about 4000 edits so I'm impressed you've even seen one from me. In addition the "I insert user herby give...." is actually fairly standard text. Nevertheless, I shall heed your words of wisdom as the point is of course to emphasise the recipient - happy editing! But I would still like to be bold, as you suggested, and make some changes/additions to the lung cancer article. Per our conversation on the talk page, my edits will be focused on the disease's impact on non-smokers. And I will try to balance the coverage of the article to demonstrate that the disease affects huge numbers of "never-smokers" (10-15%) as well as smokers (40%-45%) and former smokers (45%-50%). I would like to illustrate that smoking turns the crisis of lung cancer into an epidemic. Whereas, in absence of smoking, mid-low six-figures of people would die from the disease annually, with smoking, over a million die every year. Hopefully, when completed, it will be clear that, while tobacco smoke is by far the most common cause of cancer, sadly, if tobacco never existed, lung cancer would still be among the most common cancers, if not the most common one. Cheers! ask123 20:23, 21 August 2007 (UTC) Hello colleagueWould you give a look to Quackwatch Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Quackwatch and tell me your opinion? If it is a "puffed up" article? It kind of fell in my hands and I am not 100%sure but sems to be self-published, I need the opinion of someone used to do an assesment before giving an opinion . Thanks JennyLen☤ 15:35, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
