Musik Yunani kuno nyaris secara keseluruhan hadir dalam masyarakat Yunani kuno, dari perkawinan, pemakaman, dan upacara-upacara keagamaan sanpai teater, musik foklor dan pengutipan puisi epik mirip ballad. Sehingga, musik tersebut memainkan bagian integral dalam kehidupan bangsa Yunani kuno.
